                            Program Overview91重口’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program is designed for career changers, recent graduates and others who want to earn a second bachelor’s degree and become a Registered Nurse. 
 This program prepares graduates to join one of the fastest growing and most respected professions in the United States. The ABSN curriculum includes classroom, lab, simulation, and hands-on clinical experiences and prepares graduates to work in a variety of healthcare settings.

                            CurriculumThe Accelerated BS in Nursing (ABSN) degree program is designed for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree in another discipline but have always dreamed of becoming a nurse. This 62-credit program prepares graduates to join one of the fastest growing and most respected professions in the United States. The ABSN curriculum includes classroom, lab, and hands-on clinical experiences, and graduates nurses who are ready to work in a variety of healthcare settings. Learning OutcomesAt the end of the bachelor's degree nursing program, the graduate will be able to do the following as an Entry Level Professional Nurse: - Demonstrate clinical judgment based in knowledge from nursing, the arts, humanities, and natural, physical, and social sciences.
- Use a holistic approach to deliver person-centered care.
- Implement quality population-focused care in the protection, promotion, and advancement of health.
- Apply research methods to address health care and nursing issues.
- Contribute to an environment of safety for clients and providers.
- Function as an effective member of the interprofessional care team.
- Apply knowledge of the healthcare system in planning, organization and optimizing care across delivery settings.
- Use information and communication technologies in the delivery of effective care.
- Reflect the ethics and values of the nursing profession in providing equitable care for all.
- Demonstrate leadership skills that foster a commitment to personal and professional well-being.

- Two letters of recommendation: one academic and one professional preferred

 Earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited US college or university.
 Students may be in progress toward their bachelor’s degree at time of application but must provide proof of degree prior to program start.
